For the '98 World Cup, Ricky Martin put out the song 'The Cup of Life'/'Copa de la Vida'. It was a huge international hit that summer, which was interesting because Ricky Martin doesn't really care for soccer (or sports for that matter) and comes from Puerto Rico, which along with Cuba are the only nations in Latin America where futbol isn't a big-time sport.
